Dr. Erika DC, ACN, IBCLC
I grew up in St. Cloud, MN and played hockey on the first all-girls hockey team in Central MN. I did my pre-med at SCSU and graduated with my doctorate of chiropractic in Fall of 2008 from Parker College of Chiropractic in TX. I met my husband, Dave, in school and we married in 2010. We welcomed our first child, Gaige, in 2011 and my passion for prenatal and infant care grew. We moved back to MN in 2013 after losing my mom.
I intended to work with Dave when we started Accelerate Chiropractic & Rehab, but I connected with a colleague who was a Neurodiplomate and they offered me a job. I was incredibly busy with complex functional medicine cases, and worked a lot. In 2016, I had a second child, Hazel, amidst several illnesses. When I discovered I was pregnant with number 3, Maeve, I knew I needed to make a career shift. I decided to make the leap back into private practice in 2018 so I could work less and care for myself and my kids better. |
My practice flourished inside a maternity store, but it closed due to COVID, so I eventually merged with Dave in August 2020. We love caring for your family as if you are part of ours!
Functional neurology has been an integral part of my chiropractic practice since day one. I have applied this foundation to everything I do: from prenatal adjustments to frenectomy care, to helping your child reach developmental milestones, to nutritional consults and lactation. I am passionate about personalized care for moms and babies from a brain-based perspective - which I believe is why I get the results I do!
You can expect your first appointment with me to be personalized, compassionate, and thorough. I will listen carefully, ask questions, and get to know you (and/or your child) as a whole person. We'll discuss a treatment plan and at-home techniques you can do to maintain or accelerate your child's care.

Becca Asplin MS, CCC-SLP
I grew up in Cokato, Minnesota on an agricultural farm. I knew I wanted to work with children and originally declared my major as Early Childhood Education. I ended up shadowing a local speech-language pathologist and the rest is history!
I am a Speech-Language Pathologist licensed by the state of Minnesota and hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). My educational journey began at Minnesota State University - Moorhead where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences and eventually my Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology, Currently, I live in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, with my husband and two sons. My experience with my first baby's journey through tongue ties led me to connect with Dr. Erika and sparked my passion for brain-based, whole-person care. Personal struggles with breastfeeding and solid feeding have motivated me to continually expand my knowledge around tongue/lip ties enriching my practice as an SLP. |
I have been mentored by Dr. Erika, completed the MyoMentor course, and taken several other trainings to further my education with orofacial myofunctional therapy (OMT) and brain-based care. I am uniquely qualified to treat both kids and adults who have concerns with language development, speech sound development, stuttering, feeding/swallowing, and tongue/lip ties - all with a 'myofunctional lens'.
Dr. Dave DC, FDM, FMS
I was born in Indiana but grew up overseas in a military family. In 1993, we moved back to the States and settled in AZ. I'm an eagle scout and can survive in the desert (but barely in MN). My undergrad training is in veterinary sciences. I attended Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas from 2005-2008. There, I met my future wife, Erika (who's originally from St. Cloud, MN and that's how I ended up in the middle of snowy MN). We have 3 little hellions at home who I love dearly.
We moved back to MN in 2013 and started Accelerate Chiropractic & Rehab. Despite numerous location changes over the years, my dedication to my patients is unchanged. I strive to provide the best results in the fewest appointments possible. My philosophy is that bones don’t move bones, muscles move bones. Fascia holds everything in place! And the brain and nervous system control all the above. |
We cannot address chronic pain or issues in the body by simply moving bones. We have to look to the soft tissues, movement patterns, and neuropathways to achieve optimal function. I work on fascial restrictions and poor movement patterns by hybridizing 2 soft tissue techniques – Fascial Distortion Model (FDM) and Active Release Technique (ART).
I start with a custom screening test to determine the type of dysfunction: weakness, tension, hyper or hypomobility, etc. Based on your unique needs, we may do more soft tissue manipulation to increase flexibility before an adjustment. We may also need to improve neuroplasticity with neurologically appropriate exercise or therapies. My goal is to help you get those big results you’re looking for, whether that’s avoiding surgery, getting your child to poop 3x a day, or just getting shit to not hurt when you move.

Cassandra Brenny, CST
Hailing from the snowy expanse of North Pole, Alaska, Cassandra brings a passion for holistic care and family wellness to the team. After graduating with honors from North Pole High School, she moved to Minnesota in 2009, where she has since embraced life with her introverted husband and their three beautiful children—one daughter and two sons, aged 7, 5, and 2.5. Her journey through motherhood, including one hospital birth and two home births, has instilled in her a profound dedication to supporting others through their unique wellness journeys.
Her connection to AIFW began during her pregnancy with her second child. Introduced to Dr. Erika through her midwife, she found guidance and support for treating her baby’s tongue and lip tie, an experience that redefined her approach to health and healing. This journey inspired her commitment to craniosacral therapy (CST), a practice that empowers individuals to address root causes rather than symptoms alone. |
Known for her crass humor, strong faith, and "keep-it-real approach", she’s an extroverted “crunchy” mom who believes wholeheartedly in meeting clients where they’re at. She’s passionate about empowering women and families and creating a space that honors each individual’s unique needs. Outside of her practice, she’s a lover of cozy moments by the fireplace with a hot oat milk latte, a good book in the summer sun, and snowy winter days spent snow-blowing for the sheer joy of it. With her Alaska roots grounding her, she brings warmth, resilience, and wholehearted care to every client she meets.
